As humanity faces an existential threat from the shape-shifting alien species known as the Arachnids, Earth's defenses are breached, allowing these ruthless creatures to ravage our planet. In response, the United Citizen Federation launches a massive counterattack, deploying elite warriors like Johnny Rico to the Mobile Infantry. Rico, a cocky and idealistic young soldier from Buenos Aires, enlists in the Mobile Infantry with his friends Ace Levy and Carmen Ibáñez, seeking adventure and camaraderie. Upon arrival at the Moon-based training facility, they're met with rigorous training, brutal hazing, and an unwavering commitment to duty. As Rico progresses through the ranks, from recruit to non-commissioned officer, he faces numerous challenges on the battlefield. He's assigned to the 6th Mobile Infantry Regiment, where he clashes with the cunning and deadly Sergeant Charles Zimri, who becomes his mentor and rival.
