As the sun sets on the neon-lit streets of 1970s Las Vegas, Sam "Ace" Rothstein, a sharp and calculating businessman, finds himself at the helm of the Tangiers Casino. Handpicked by his bosses to spearhead the operation, Ace's initial success is nothing short of remarkable, as he brings in big wins and makes friends with the city's powerful players.
