Bruce Almighty is a comedy-drama film that tells the story of Bruce Nolan, a small-time TV reporter struggling to make it big in Buffalo, New York. Despite his impressive on-air persona and the affection of his girlfriend, Grace, Bruce feels unfulfilled and unsatisfied with his life. His frustrations come to a head when he's passed over for a promotion at work and gets into a fender bender that leaves him feeling like the universe is conspiring against him. As if things couldn't get any worse, God (played by Morgan Freeman) appears before Bruce in a series of visions, offering him a chance to take on God's powers for 2,000 years.
