In the midst of a freak storm, astronaut Flash Gordon, journalist Dale Arden, and scientist Dr. Hans Zarkov are transported to the distant planet of Mongo. The trio soon finds themselves at the mercy of the ruthless Emperor Ming the Merciless, who rules with an iron fist and seeks to conquer the entire galaxy. As they navigate the treacherous landscape of Mongo, Flash, Dale, and Zarkov discover that the planet is a realm of wonder and terror.
