Detroit Rock City

剧情

Detroit Rock City (1999) is a comedy film that takes place on the eve of a KISS concert in 1978. The story revolves around four teenage friends, Jimmy (Nigel Hawthorne), Henry (Giuseppe Andrews), Alex (Matthew Curtner), and Peter (Edward Furlong), who are obsessed with the iconic rock band. The trio's lives revolve around preparing for the sold-out show at Cobo Hall in Detroit, Michigan. They have been dreaming of attending a KISS concert for months, and their excitement reaches a fever pitch when they finally get their hands on tickets to the event. As the big night approaches, Jimmy, Henry, Alex, and Peter face various challenges that threaten to derail their plans. Jimmy's parents are trying to sell their house, which is located directly across from Cobo Hall, and the noise from the concert might ruin any potential sale. Henry's overprotective mother forbids him from attending the show, leading him to concoct a plan with his friends to sneak out of the house. Meanwhile, Alex has a crush on a girl who has also managed to score tickets to the concert. He becomes obsessed with impressing her and winning her heart by pulling off an impressive feat at the show. Peter, on the other hand, is more concerned about getting a good spot in line for the concert than he is about having fun. As the night of the concert approaches, the four friends find themselves in a series of wacky misadventures as they try to get ready for the event. They must navigate obstacles such as cranky parents, overbearing mothers, and even a run-in with a group of rowdy KISS fans. Ultimately, Detroit Rock City is a lighthearted comedy that celebrates the music and excess of 1970s rock 'n' roll. The film features plenty of humor, memorable characters, and nods to the iconic band that made it all happen.
