In medieval Europe, Captain Etienne Navarre, a skilled warrior, and Lady Isabeau d'Anjou, a beautiful and kind-hearted noblewoman, share a love that transcends mortality. Their passion is doomed from the start, however, as they are cursed by the evil Bishop of Morrogh to live apart forever. As a result, Navarre is transformed into a wolf-like creature every night, while Isabeau takes to the skies as a majestic hawk. The curse is the doing of the Bishop, who seeks to exploit the lovers' predicament and use it to his own advantage.
