American Psycho II: All American Girl (2002) In this dark comedy-horror sequel to Mary Harron's 2000 adaptation of Bret Easton Ellis' novel, American Psycho, Rachel (Mickey Kelly) is a criminology student with her sights set on becoming a teacher's assistant for the esteemed Professor Robert Starkman. Her ultimate goal is to land an FBI career, and she's willing to do whatever it takes to achieve it. As Rachel begins to ingratiate herself with Starkman, she becomes embroiled in his twisted world of serial killing. With her newfound position as Starkman's assistant, Rachel finds herself caught up in a series of bizarre and gruesome murders, which seem to be committed by a seemingly well-adjusted and charismatic individual. As the body count rises, Rachel is forced to confront the possibility that Starkman might not be the only killer on campus. She soon discovers that she is trapped in a web of deceit and violence, with no clear escape route. Meanwhile, Christian Emmerich (William Lee Scott), a psychopathic serial killer from the original film, has escaped from custody and begins to stalk Rachel, who unknowingly bears a striking resemblance to his former obsession, Marie Lubbock. With Starkman's dark past and Christian's menacing presence lurking in the shadows, Rachel must navigate the treacherous landscape of campus politics, academic rivalries, and the horrors that lurk beneath the surface.

American Psycho II: All American Girl falls flat with its sloppy, unoriginal plot and lack of gore, failing to live up to its predecessor's darkly comedic, over-the-top antics. Mila Kunis surprisingly shines in the lead role, but her efforts are wasted in this dull, uninspired thriller that's more silly than shocking or scary.
