The Cell is a 2000 American psychological thriller film directed by Tarsem Singh and starring Jennifer Lopez, Vince Vaughn, and James Vandebilt. The story follows Dr. Catherine Deane (Jennifer Lopez), a psychotherapist who specializes in treating patients with dissociative identity disorder. She uses a revolutionary technique called "guided meditation" to enter her patients' subconscious minds and communicate with their alternate personalities.
