Plot
In the small town of Wheelsy, a meteorite crashes into the nearby woods, releasing an extraterrestrial parasite that begins to infect the local inhabitants. The story follows Grant Grant, a charming but womanizing strip club owner who becomes infected after engaging in a romantic encounter with a mysterious woman. As Grant's behavior becomes increasingly erratic and violent, his wife Starla grows concerned about his well-being, unaware of the sinister force taking control of her husband. Meanwhile, Sheriff Bill Pardy is investigating a series of bizarre occurrences in Wheelsy, including reports of animal mutilations and gruesome murders. As the town descends into chaos, Grant's body undergoes a grotesque transformation, allowing him to assimilate with the alien parasite. The creature, known as the "Slither," begins to grow and multiply, infecting more residents and turning them into zombies or monstrous hybrids. Pardy teams up with Starla, who is determined to rescue her husband from the clutches of the Slither, and together they embark on a perilous journey to uncover the source of the infection. Along the way, they encounter a cast of eccentric characters, including a gun-toting granny and a pair of bumbling exterminators. As the town teeters on the brink of collapse, Pardy and Starla must confront the Slither's leader, a grotesque creature with an insatiable hunger for human flesh. In a desperate bid to save their home, they devise a plan to destroy the parasite and restore order to Wheelsy. Slither is a horror-comedy that combines elements of science fiction, zombie movies, and B-movies to create a delightfully campy and entertaining ride.
