In the wake of Mount Vesuvius' catastrophic eruption, Pompeii is a city frozen in time. The once-thriving metropolis lies buried beneath a thick layer of volcanic ash and pumice, its residents trapped in a desperate bid for survival. Against this apocalyptic backdrop, Milo (Kit Harington), a skilled gladiator with a troubled past, finds himself torn between his duty to the arena and his love for Cassia (Emily Browning), the radiant daughter of a wealthy merchant. The two had once shared a fleeting moment of passion, but their social differences made their love impossible. As the eruption looms closer, Milo learns that Cassia has been unwillingly betrothed to Lucius (Kiefer Sutherland), a ruthless and cunning Roman nobleman. With time running out, Milo embarks on a perilous quest to rescue his beloved Cassia from her impending doom. In a desperate bid to escape the doomed city, Milo navigates the treacherous streets of Pompeii, avoiding the chaos and destruction wrought by the volcanic eruption.
