In the vibrant underwater world of the Great Barrier Reef, a timid clownfish named Marlin lives in constant fear for his only son Nemo's safety. Following a traumatic experience with a barracuda that killed his wife and all but one of their eggs, Marlin has become overprotective of Nemo, forbidding him from exploring the reef or interacting with other fish.
