As the sun sets over the peaceful Shire, Bilbo Baggins, a wise and aged hobbit, decides to pass on the One Ring to his young cousin Frodo. Unbeknownst to Frodo, this enchanted ring holds the power to control and dominate all of Middle-earth. Gandalf the Grey, a powerful wizard, senses the ring's dark presence and warns Frodo that it must be destroyed in the fires of Mount Doom.
