In a world where witchcraft was eradicated centuries ago, Kaulder, an immortal witch hunter, has been tracking down and killing his enemies for over 800 years. The film opens with Kaulder (Vin Diesel) emerging from a centuries-long slumber in a cryogenic tomb, only to find that the world has changed dramatically since he last walked among humans. As Kaulder navigates this unfamiliar landscape, he is confronted by modern technology and society, which seem almost as foreign to him as magic itself. His quest for revenge against the witches who killed his mentor and friend, Picus (Michael Caine), leads him to a mysterious woman named Chloe (Eve Hewson) who possesses ancient knowledge about the witch world. Kaulder soon discovers that the modern era is plagued by an evil cult of witches who seek to unleash the Black Death upon humanity. The leader of this coven, Elizabeth (Julianne Moore), is determined to resurrect the dark arts and claim dominion over the mortal world. As Kaulder delves deeper into the mysteries surrounding the witches' resurgence, he finds himself facing off against increasingly formidable foes. His only hope for stopping the impending catastrophe lies in forging an unlikely alliance with a group of witch hunters, including the enigmatic priest, Dolan (Michael Peña), and the cunning sorceress, Holly (Lauren Daigle).
