Plot
Knowing is a 2009 science fiction thriller film directed by Alex Proyas. The story revolves around John Koestler (Nicolas Cage), a high school physics teacher who opens a time capsule buried at his son's elementary school. As he inspects the contents, he discovers a series of eerie predictions written in an unknown script. One of the predictions is dated 50 years into the future and reads: "The world will end on March 15th, 2050."
