In the supernatural action-comedy film "R.I.P.D." (2013), Ryan Higgins, a determined and justice-loving police officer, finds himself in the unlikeliest of predicaments: death. After being brutally murdered by his arch-nemesis, Herbert Koppel, Ryan's spirit is sent to the Rest in Peace Department, an afterlife law enforcement agency responsible for monitoring the living and maintaining order among the deceased.
