Plot

John Carter is a former Confederate Army captain who has been transported to Mars, where he becomes embroiled in a battle between various nations vying for power on the red planet. The story begins with John Carter being accused of murder and fleeing to the American West, only to be swept away by a strange phenomenon that sends him hurtling through space and time. Upon landing on Barsoom, John Carter finds himself in the midst of a war between rival nations: the Zodangan Empire, led by the ruthless Tardos Mors, and the Heliumite Kingdom, ruled by the wise and compassionate Queen Marens. As John Carter navigates this unfamiliar world, he discovers that he has developed incredible physical abilities on Mars, including superhuman strength, agility, and the ability to jump incredibly long distances. John Carter soon finds himself at odds with the Zodangan Empire's forces, particularly their ruthless leader, Tardos Mors, who seeks to conquer all of Barsoom. Meanwhile, John Carter also encounters Dejah Thoris, a beautiful princess of Helium, and Sola, a clever and resourceful warrior woman who becomes his ally. As John Carter becomes embroiled in the conflict on Barsoom, he begins to realize that there is more at stake than just the fate of the red planet. He also discovers that his presence has awakened an ancient threat: the mysterious Tharks, giant green warriors who are said to be able to communicate with the planet itself. John Carter must use all his wits and bravery to navigate this treacherous landscape, forge alliances with the various nations on Barsoom, and ultimately prevent a catastrophic war that would threaten the very existence of the red planet. Along the way, he discovers that there is more to himself than he ever could have imagined, and that his journey has only just begun.
