In a world where parallel universes exist, Evelyn Wang, an exhausted and stressed-out Chinese-American woman, is on the verge of losing everything that matters to her - her laundromat business, her marriage, and her sense of self. When she's audited by the IRS and confronted with the possibility of losing her American dream, Evelyn's life begins to unravel.
