In the wake of Mount Vesuvius' catastrophic eruption, Pompeii is a city frozen in time. The once-thriving metropolis lies buried beneath a thick layer of volcanic ash and pumice, its residents trapped in a desperate bid for survival. Against this apocalyptic backdrop, Milo (Kit Harington), a skilled gladiator with a troubled past, finds himself torn between his duty to the arena and his love for Cassia (Emily Browning), the radiant daughter of a wealthy merchant. The two had once shared a fleeting moment of passion, but their social differences made their love impossible. As the eruption looms closer, Milo learns that Cassia has been unwillingly betrothed to Lucius (Kiefer Sutherland), a ruthless and cunning Roman nobleman. With time running out, Milo embarks on a perilous quest to rescue his beloved Cassia from her impending doom. In a desperate bid to escape the doomed city, Milo navigates the treacherous streets of Pompeii, avoiding the chaos and destruction wrought by the volcanic eruption. He faces off against formidable foes, including the ruthless Senator Corvus (Jared Ward) and his henchmen, who seek to claim the riches of Pompeii for themselves.
