Wyld Stallyns, Bill and Ted's band, is enjoying their newfound fame after their triumphant performance at the Battle of the Bands. However, their happiness is short-lived as they are faced with a new challenge when Chuck De Nomolos, an evil scientist from the future, sends his own duplicates of Bill and Ted to replace them. The bogus versions, known as Chuckie and Teddie, are identical in appearance but have no qualms about causing chaos and destruction. They start by stealing the souls of various celebrities and placing their own on the Wyld Stallyns' bodies, essentially taking over their lives. Bill and Ted, initially oblivious to the switch, begin to experience strange and unsettling occurrences as they try to navigate their new reality. As they struggle to regain control of their bodies, they also find themselves facing a series of bizarre and surreal events that threaten to destroy their friendship and their band. Meanwhile, Chuck De Nomolos is revealed to be seeking revenge against Bill and Ted for foiling his plans in the previous film. He intends to use the bogus Wyld Stallyns to win the Battle of the Bands and gain control over the world's music. As the story unfolds, Bill and Ted must find a way to outsmart their evil duplicates, restore their souls, and save the world from Chuck De Nomolos' diabolical plans. Along the way, they learn valuable lessons about friendship, trust, and the power of good vibes.
