In a world where humans and aliens coexist, yet remain segregated, the story of "District 9" unfolds like a gritty and thought-provoking sci-fi thriller. Thirty years prior, an alien spaceship landed on Earth, depositing its extraterrestrial passengers in a South African area designated as District 9 - a sprawling slum-like environment where humans have abandoned all hope.
