As James Bond, agent 007, arrives at Fort Knox, he discovers that Auric Goldfinger has been secretly building a massive solar-powered laser capable of destroying the United States' most valuable asset: the gold reserve at Fort Knox. Goldfinger's plan is to use his laser to create a diversion while he steals the gold and smuggles it out in a fake nuclear bomb. Bond soon learns that Pussy Galore, the leader of an all-female flying circus, has been working with Goldfinger. She's been providing him with aerial support for his operation, and her pilots are trained to fly at incredible speeds and altitudes.
