As the last great ice age approaches, Manny, a woolly mammoth with a heart of gold, embarks on an epic journey to return a human baby to its parents. Alongside him are two unlikely companions: Diego, a cunning saber-toothed tiger with a penchant for mischief, and Sid, a lovable but dim-witted giant sloth who often finds himself in precarious situations. The trio's adventure begins when they stumble upon the baby, left behind by Manny's friend Ellie as she migrates to find a new home. Despite their differences, the three misfits form an unlikely bond as they navigate treacherous landscapes and avoid deadly predators to reach the human village. As they journey across ancient America, they encounter a cast of colorful characters, including a group of bumbling opossums, a pack of vicious hyenas, and a wise-cracking weasel named Scrat.
