In the small town of Perisher Lake, Maine, a gruesome discovery sends shockwaves through the community. A man's body is found mauled and mutilated, with evidence suggesting that he was attacked by some sort of massive predator. Local Game Warden Hank Keough (Brendan Gleeson) is tasked with finding the creature responsible for the horrific killing.
