Plot
Here is the plot summary of Kicking & Screaming: Phil Weston (Will Ferrell) has always been a lovable underachiever. As a college student, he tried out for various sports but consistently failed to impress. Now, as a father to his 10-year-old son Sam (Lucas Babin), Phil is determined not to pass on his lack of athletic prowess to the next generation. However, it seems like Sam is destined to follow in his dad's footsteps. As the two start playing soccer together, Phil's frustrations boil over when he realizes that Sam is inheriting his own ineptitude. In a desperate attempt to break the cycle, Phil decides to coach Sam's youth soccer team, despite having no experience or talent himself.
