In the absurdly fashionable world of high-end modeling, Derek Zoolander is a man on top - literally. As VH1's three-time male model of the year, he has it all: the looks, the fame, and the adoration of his fans. But when the impossibly gorgeous Hansel appears on the scene, scooping up this year's award and stealing Derek's thunder, our protagonist finds himself face-first in a crisis. As Derek's ego takes a hit, he becomes obsessed with winning back his title and proving to himself and everyone else that he is still the greatest model of all time. Mugatu, the diabolical fashion guru who has created an army of mini-me models in his image, sees an opportunity to exploit Derek's vulnerability for his own nefarious purposes. Meanwhile, a group of dim-witted assassins, hired by the evil Mugatu to take out Derek, are hot on the model's heels. Their ineptitude is matched only by their sheer determination to succeed, leading to a series of hilarious misadventures that leave everyone in their wake. As Derek navigates this chaotic landscape, he finds himself at odds with his former best friend and fellow model, Hansel, who has become embroiled in Mugatu's sinister plans.
