Starman is a 1984 American science fiction film directed by Dan O'Bannon and starring Jeff Bridges and Karen Allen. The story begins when an alien spaceship crash-lands in a cornfield in rural Wisconsin, releasing an extraterrestrial entity that assumes the form of a young man named Scott Hayden (Jeff Bridges). Scott's wife, Jenny Hayden (Karen Allen), is shocked to discover that her husband has come back to life after being killed in a car accident just days earlier. The alien, who refers to himself as Starman, explains to Jenny that he needs her help to reach the desert of Arizona and contact his spaceship, which is still operational.
