Scrooged is a modern retelling of Charles Dickens' classic tale, A Christmas Carol. The story follows Frank Cross (Bill Murray), a cynical and ruthless television executive who has lost touch with the true meaning of Christmas. On Christmas Eve, Frank is visited by three ghosts: the Ghost of Christmas Past (David Johansen), who shows him his lonely and isolated childhood; the Ghost of Christmas Present (Carol Kane), who reveals to him the struggles and hardships faced by those around him; and the Ghost of Christmas Future (Robert Mitchum), who warns him of a bleak and miserable future if he doesn't change his ways.
