In 1966, Henry Ford II, the grandson of the founder of the Ford Motor Company, is determined to prove his worth by taking on the Italian racing powerhouse Ferrari at the Le Mans 24-hour endurance race. He enlists the help of Carroll Shelby, an American car designer and former racing driver, who has a reputation for building high-performance vehicles.
