In a world where toys come to life when humans are not around, a toy cowboy named Woody has been Andy's favorite toy since he was a toddler. Woody is proud of being Andy's top toy and takes great care of him, ensuring that Andy is happy and content. However, Woody's world is turned upside down when Andy receives a new toy space ranger action figure on his birthday, Buzz Lightyear. Buzz believes himself to be an actual space ranger and not just a toy, which causes friction with Woody, who feels threatened by the newcomer. As the days go by, Woody becomes increasingly paranoid about losing his place in Andy's heart to Buzz. He begins to plot against Buzz, trying to get rid of him or make him think he is defective. Meanwhile, Buzz remains oblivious to the fact that he is just a toy and not an actual space ranger. Despite their differences, the two toys are forced to work together when they become lost and separated from Andy during a family outing. The pair finds themselves in the clutches of Sid, Andy's sadistic and toy-torturing next-door neighbor. Woody and Buzz must put aside their rivalry and use their unique skills to escape from Sid's house and make it back to Andy's room before he moves away without them. Along the way, they learn valuable lessons about friendship, teamwork, and that even though they may be different, they can still get along and work together towards a common goal. As the adventure unfolds, Woody comes to realize that having a friend like Buzz is not so bad after all. In fact, having someone by his side who understands what it's like to be a toy can make life as a plaything much more enjoyable. The film ends with Woody and Buzz returning to Andy's room, where they are welcomed back with open arms. From then on, the two former rivals become inseparable friends, and their friendship serves as a reminder that even though we may have our differences, we can still find common ground and work together towards a brighter future.
