Plot

In 1981's "For Your Eyes Only," Bond (Roger Moore) receives a distress signal from a British spy ship, the Stealth, which has sunk in the Mediterranean. The ship was carrying a top-secret encryption device containing British missile launch instructions. With this sensitive information at risk of falling into Soviet hands, M sends Bond to locate the device before it's too late. Bond begins his mission by infiltrating a Soviet freighter, where he discovers that the crew is transporting a shipment of stolen goods. He soon learns that the Stealth's captain, Boatwright (John Wyman), had been working with a rogue agent named Kristatos (Julian Glover) to steal the encryption device and sell it to the highest bidder. Bond's investigation leads him to Athens, where he encounters Melina Havelock (Carrera), the daughter of a murdered British operative. Melina is on her own mission to take revenge on Kristatos, who had betrayed her father. Bond forms an uneasy alliance with Melina as they navigate through a complex web of deceit and betrayal.
