In a picturesque town on the Amalfi Coast, Robert McCall, aka The Equalizer, has found a sense of belonging among a group of locals who have taken him in as one of their own. After years of being a lone wolf, McCall has finally found a community that accepts him for who he is, and he's grown to care deeply about his new friends. However, this idyllic existence is shattered when McCall discovers that his friends are being coerced into doing the bidding of local crime bosses. The gangsters, led by a ruthless and cunning leader, have taken control of the town and are using fear and intimidation to get what they want.
