Fracture is a 2007 American thriller film directed by Gregory Hoblit. The movie tells the story of Ted Crawford (Anthony Hopkins), a wealthy and successful structural engineer who shoots his wife, Jennifer (Embeth Davidtz), in the head during an argument. Crawford then turns himself in to the police and becomes the prime suspect in the attempted murder. As the investigation unfolds, District Attorney Willy Beachum (Billy Burke) sees this as a slam-dunk case and is eager to put Crawford away. However, things take a surprising turn when it's revealed that Jennifer may not be the innocent victim everyone thought she was.
