Here is the plot summary of "Lord of Illusions": When New York City private investigator Harry D'Amour (Scott Bakula) takes on a routine case in Los Angeles, he stumbles upon a dark and sinister plot. A fanatic cult is preparing for the resurrection of their leader, Nix, a powerful magician who was killed several years prior. As Harry delves deeper into the mystery, he discovers that Nix's followers believe they can bring him back to life through a series of bizarre rituals. As Harry becomes more entangled in the case, he finds himself facing off against Nix's most loyal and feared follower, Swann (Daniel von Bargen). Meanwhile, Harry's investigation also uncovers a web of deceit and corruption that goes all the way to the top of law enforcement. Harry's search for truth takes him on a journey through the darker corners of Los Angeles, where he encounters a variety of characters who are all connected to Nix in some way. Along the way, he must confront his own demons and use his street smarts to outwit Swann and the cult members who will stop at nothing to bring their leader back to life.
